- 1 cup water
- 1 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
- 2-3 fresh strawberries
- 1 tsp honey
- ½ tsp fresh lemon juice
- Ice cubes for iced tea, optional
Wash and slice the strawberries.
Measure out the dried hibiscus flowers.
In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
Add the dried hibiscus flowers and sliced strawberries to the boiling water.
Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
Remove from heat and let it steep for another 3 minutes to deepen the flavors.
Strain the tea into a cup to remove the hibiscus flowers and strawberry pulp.
Stir in honey or sweetener, if desired, and add lemon juice for extra brightness.
For iced tea, let the tea cool to room temperature, pour over ice cubes, and garnish with a strawberry slice.
