Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 tbsp dried hibiscus flowers
  • 2-3 fresh strawberries
  • 1 tsp honey
  • ½ tsp fresh lemon juice
  • Ice cubes for iced tea, optional

Instructions
 

  • Wash and slice the strawberries.
  • Measure out the dried hibiscus flowers.
  • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a gentle boil.
  • Add the dried hibiscus flowers and sliced strawberries to the boiling water.
  • Reduce heat to low and let it simmer for 5 minutes.
  • Remove from heat and let it steep for another 3 minutes to deepen the flavors.
  • Strain the tea into a cup to remove the hibiscus flowers and strawberry pulp.
  • Stir in honey or sweetener, if desired, and add lemon juice for extra brightness.
  • For iced tea, let the tea cool to room temperature, pour over ice cubes, and garnish with a strawberry slice.
