Ingredients
  

  • 1 Masala chai tea
  • 2 cups Milk
  • 2 tbsp Unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 3 tbsp Sugar adjust to taste
  • ΒΌ tsp Ground cinnamon
  • Pinch of Nutmeg
  • Whipped cream Optional
  • A sprinkle of cinnamon or chocolate shavings for garnish Optional

Instructions
 

  • In a medium saucepan, heat the milk over medium heat until it begins to simmer. Avoid boiling to maintain the milk's flavor and texture.
  • Once the milk is simmering, add the masala chai tea bags. Reduce the heat and let them steep for 4-5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags, then add the cocoa powder, sugar, cinnamon, and nutmeg to the milk. Whisk continuously until the cocoa is fully dissolved and the mixture is smooth.
  • Allow the mixture to simmer for another 2-3 minutes, stirring occasionally. Make sure it doesn't boil.
  • Pour the Masala Chai Hot Chocolate into mugs. If desired, top with whipped cream and sprinkle with a bit more cinnamon or chocolate shavings.
