Hibiscus Sangria Tea

Equipment

  • 1 Saucepan or pot
  • 1 Pitcher

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 hibiscus tea bags
  • 1 cup mixed fresh fruits such as orange slices, lemon slices, berries
  • 1 tbsp honey or sweetener of your choice
  • 1 cup sparkling water or club soda
  • ice cubes
  • fresh mint leaves for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, bring the water to a boil. Remove from heat and add the hibiscus tea bags.
  • Let it steep for 5 minutes.
  • Remove the tea bags and stir in the honey or sweetener until dissolved.
  • Transfer the tea to a pitcher and let it cool to room temperature.
  • Place the pitcher in the refrigerator and chill for at least 2 hours.
  • When ready to serve, add the mixed fresh fruits to the pitcher and gently muddle them to release their flavors.
  • Fill glasses with ice cubes and pour the chilled Hibiscus Sangria Tea over the ice.
  • Top each glass with sparkling water or club soda for a refreshing fizz.
  • Garnish with fresh mint leaves.
