Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 1 small piece of fresh ginger, peeled and grated
  • 1 tbsp dried lemon verbena or 2 fresh lemon verbena leaves can substitute with lemon balm or lemon zest
  • 1 tbsp honey or sweetener of your choice
  • Slices of lemon for garnish

Instructions
 

  • In a small saucepan, bring the water to a boil.
  • Add the ginger slices and lemon verbena to the saucepan.
  • Reduce the heat to low and let it simmer for about 5 minutes.
  • Remove the saucepan from the heat and let the mixture steep for an additional 5 minutes to infuse the flavors.
  • Strain the tea into serving cups, discarding the ginger slices and lemon verbena.
  • Add honey or sweetener if desired, stirring until it dissolves.
  • Garnish with lemon slices if desired.
