Instructions
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, yeast, and salt.
Gradually whisk in warm milk and water to form a smooth batter. Cover and let rise for 1 hour.
Heat a non-stick pan over medium heat and grease it with butter. Place round crumpet rings on the pan.
Pour the batter into the rings, filling them halfway. Cook until bubbles form on top and the crumpets begin to set.
Flip the crumpets and cook for another minute.
Serve warm with butter and jam.
