Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups whole milk
  • ½ cup sugar
  • 3 tbsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • ½ tsp ground cardamom
  • ¼ tsp ground ginger
  • ¼ tsp ground cloves
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • a pinch of salt

Instructions
 

  • In a saucepan, whisk milk, sugar, cornstarch, spices, and salt until smooth.
  • Heat over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Remove from heat and stir in vanilla extract.
  • Pour into serving bowls and refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
