Equipment

Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups water
  • 2 green tea bags
  • 1 cup blueberries
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tbsp honey or sweetener of your choice
  • ice cubes
  • Lemon slices and fresh blueberries for garnish

Instructions
 

  • Bring the water to a boil in a saucepan.
  • Remove from heat and add the green tea bags.
  • Let steep for 3-5 minutes.
  • Meanwhile, in a separate saucepan, add the fresh blueberries and 1/4 cup of water.
  • Cook over medium heat for about 5 minutes, until the blueberries start to soften and release their juices.
  • Remove from heat and let it cool slightly.
  • In a blender or food processor, blend the cooked blueberries until smooth.
  • Strain the mixture to remove any solids and set aside the blueberry syrup.
  • Remove the tea bags from the green tea and let it cool for a few minutes.
  • In a pitcher, combine the green tea, blueberry syrup, lemon juice, and sweetener (if desired). Stir well to combine.
  • Fill serving glasses with ice cubes and pour the Blueberry Lemon Iced Green Tea over the ice.
  • Garnish with lemon slices and fresh blueberries, if desired.
